Pascal Wehrlein: “It was a very difficult race”

Pascal Wehrlein admitted that the Hungaroring circuit did not play to his Manor Racing team’s strengths after finishing down in nineteenth on Sunday, although he did take a positive from the race after finishing ahead of the Sauber of Marcus Ericsson. The Mercedes-protégé made a good start to run as high as sixteenth but did not have the pace to remain there, ultimately dropping down the order and finishing two laps down on race winner Lewis Hamilton. “It was a very difficult race today,” revealed Wehrlein. “It was clear very early on in the weekend that this was not ‘our' track and I think that showed today. “I got a really good start and climbed to 17th position, and...
