Sergio Perez: “A tough race today”

Sahara Force India driver Sergio Perez was disappointed to come away from the Hungarian Grand Prix with no points on Sunday, in what was a taxing race for the Mexican from beginning to end. Having opted to go for a one stop strategy at the start of the race, the Silverstone based squad’s shrewd plans were soon in need of revision when it became apparent that Perez was unable to get the medium tyre working as desired and had begun to drop down the order. The call was made for the Mexican to come in and switch to a two stop, but when Perez arrived in the pits the team were not quite ready for him, and that saw the Force India driver lose valuable time and probably the chance of finishing...
