Sainz Jr. pleased with Toro Rosso recovery

Red Bull/Getty Images Carlos Sainz Jr. was left pleased by Toro Rosso's recovery at the Hungarian Grand Prix following a difficult Friday, despite regressing from his grid position. Sainz Jr. was only 13th during Friday's second practice session but recovered to qualify in sixth place, before being overhauled by McLaren's Fernando Alonso off the line and Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen later on. Sainz Jr. was nonetheless able to take eighth spot for the third successive race as he moved into the top 10 of the championship. "A solid race from us in Budapest, I’m satisfied with the result," he said. "I’m pretty pleased with the race, even if Fernando got past us at the start....
