Perez rues pit stop communication error

Hungarian Grand Prix – Sergio Perez was left to rue a pit stop miscommunication after missing out on a points finish. Force India's Sergio Perez was running in tenth place on the medium tyres – the hardest available for the weekend – and looked set to run to the end of the race, further increasing his chances of points. Despite the attempted one-stop race, performance difficulties encouraged the team to switch to a two-stop race and change to the soft compound tyres. However, the team were not ready for Perez when he came into the pit lane, costing the Mexican several seconds and any chance of salvaging a point.
