Marcus Ericsson to start Hungarian GP from pitlane after chassis change

Marcus Ericsson will start the Hungarian Grand Prix from the Hungaroring pitlane, after Sauber opted to change his chassis. The Swedish driver crashed out of Formula 1 qualifying in the first segment, which took place in challenging conditions following a heavy rain shower. Ericsson went off at Turn 8 and hit the wall, bringing out the red flag. He was one of three drivers to crash during the session. With only one timed lap completed, Ericsson was eliminated from Q1 and his sole attempt was outside the 107% rule. Sauber opted to change Ericsson’s chassis after the shunt and this means he will have to start the race from the pits, F1 confirmed. The FIA confirmed late on Saturday that...
