Raikkonen: Speed was better than 14th
Kimi Raikkonen says his Ferrari had the pace to be much higher than his 14th in qualifying but lost out in the drying conditions with lap times constantly improving. The Finnish driver had demonstrated consistent speed to challenge inside the top six all race weekend but mistimed his final qualifying lap in the drying Q2 session. With lap times constantly improving and the order chopping in the final seconds Raikkonen, who had already taken the chequered flag, was rapidly shuffled down the order to P14 to make it his worst qualifying result of the year. “It's a shame where we ended up, because the car has been very good today even in the wet,” Raikkonen said. “Whatever the reasons...
