Hamilton encouraged despite missing pole

Mercedes AMG Petronas Lewis Hamilton says he is confident about his chances of victory at the Hungarian Grand Prix despite missing out on pole position to Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg. Hamilton headed Rosberg during the initial stages of Q3 but had to back off when Fernando Alonso spun, while Rosberg was able to complete his final effort. Rosberg moved ahead and will consequently start from pole position, with Hamilton alongside on the front row of the grid. "I would never have expected to come around that corner and see Fernando facing me," he said. "I was four tenths up at that point and feeling really happy with the balance of the car, so pole was there for the taking....
