“Sleeping” Button cost me top-three starting spot, claims Vettel

Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel has blamed McLaren’s Jenson Button for baulking him on his final lap of qualifying, which he believes cost him a potential second-row starting spot. Vettel qualified fifth, but reckons he could have jumped both Red Bulls ahead of him, had Button not got in his way after the double-waved yellow flags for Fernando Alonso’s spin. “I don’t think it’s fair, we had a yellow at the end and I don’t know why Jenson didn’t move out of the way so I couldn’t close the lap and lost a lot of time,” said Vettel. “I think he was sleeping.
