Alonso: I’d be open and ready to do the Indy 500

It is well known that Fernando Alonso is not enjoying the current state of Formula 1, complaining that things are too controlled, the need to conserve tyres and fuel irk him to the point that he may consider a move to sportscar racing – now he has revealed that a stab at the Indianapolis 500 is also on his wishlist. Alonso told Autosprint, “The Indy 500 is fascinating, radical change because you must learn a completely different driving style and way of thinking.' “I’d be open and ready to learn it because when you have been F1 world champion there are only two other races that are equivalent prestige-wise: the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Indianapolis 500.” With the Indy...
