Hamilton sets pace in first Hungarian GP practice
Lewis Hamilton had the fastest lap at the first practice session for the Hungarian Grand Prix, followed by Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg. Driving on the repaved Hungaroring with supersoft tyres, Hamilton's time of 1 minute, 21.347 seconds on Friday was nearly four seconds faster than the world champion's first practice in 2015 and almost 0.7 seconds ahead of his 2015 qualifying pace, which gained him pole position. Rosberg, who has extended his Mercedes contract through 2018, was 0.237 seconds behind Hamilton.
