Carlos Sainz Jnr: “Our car should be strong here”
Scuderia Toro Rosso driver Carlos Sainz Jnr is looking forward to a strong weekend for the Faenza based squad in Hungary, at a track the Spaniard believes should suit the STR11. The 2014 Formula Renault 3.5 champion has always enjoyed driving round the Hungaroring, with its varying speed corners and chicanes, which make it interesting to navigate. “I enjoy racing in Hungary. Just like they did in Austria this year, the circuit in Budapest has also been resurfaced, so all our references will have to be reset. “You arrive at Turn 1 at high speed, so you need to brake hard – from 300 to 80kph in about 80 metres.
