Pirelli announces Mexican GP tyre compounds

Pirelli has announced the tyre compounds it will take to the Mexican Grand Prix in October, going for its most common allocation. With three tyre compounds available at each race this season, Pirelli has tended to go for the medium, soft and supersoft - the middle three compounds - at the majority of circuits. Those three tyres will again be used in Mexico this season, which will be the 11th race to see that selection. Teams have to select their compound choices 14 weeks in advance of a long-haul race - compared to eight weeks for the European races - and are allocated three mandatory sets by Pirelli.
