Raikkonen fastest at Silverstone testing

Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen clocked the fastest time on the second and final day of testing at Silverstone on Wednesday, days after the British Grand Prix. The 2007 world champion posted a best lap of 1 min 30.665sec, blowing away the 1:31.290 of McLaren's Fernando Alonso in what was the fastest time in Tuesday testing at the famous circuit. Reigning champion Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes grabbed pole last weekend with a searing lap of 1:29.287 and went on to win the race to close the gap on teammate Nico Rosberg to just one point at the top of the drivers' standings. The next race is in Hungary on July 24. AFP
