Max Verstappen wins Driver of the Day award for British Grand Prix
Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen has won the British Grand Prix ‘Driver of the Day’ award after his podium finish at Silverstone. It is the fourth time the 18-year-old has been voted driver of the day by Formula 1 fans, having been victorious in Spain, Canada and Austria. Verstappen finished third at Silverstone on Sunday after a feisty performance, but he was promoted to second place after a time penalty for Nico Rosberg. He started the race on the second row, just ahead of Red Bull team-mate Daniel Ricciardo, and enjoyed an intense battle with Rosberg throughout the race.
