Daniel Ricciardo: “I was ready for a battle and some action today”
Daniel Ricciardo finished in fourth place at Sunday’s British Grand Prix, however despite finishing ahead of both Scuderia Ferrari’s the Australian was less than enthusiastic about the race itself. “I think for the team and for the points it was really good. Obviously we gained a bit on Ferrari which is nice, but for me it was lonely and a bit boring.” Having lost out in the inevitable round of pit stops when the virtual safety car was deployed, pitting during the earlier influx of cars, Ricciardo struggled to pass the Sahara Force India of Sergio Perez, who had managed to get ahead of him by pitting later, and that saw the Red Bull Racing driver fall further behind the leaders...
