Ricciardo rues 'lonely, boring' race to fourth
Red Bull/Getty Images Daniel Ricciardo labelled his British Grand Prix as "lonely" and "boring" as he finished adrift of the leading trio in fourth position. Ricciardo dived into the pits to change from Wet to Intermediate tyres, hoping to profit as Lewis Hamilton, Nico Rosberg and Max Verstappen stayed out. However, the Virtual Safety Car was implemented when Pascal Wehrlein spun off at Abbey and the lead trio were permitted to minimise their time loss when they also dived into the pits.
