Ericsson given all-clear to race in British GP
Marcus Ericsson has confirmed he will start the British Grand Prix after passing his medical in the wake of a heavy shunt during FP3 at Silverstone. The Swede was taken to hospital for 'routine checks' after crashing heavily during FP3 but after missing qualifying he returned to the F1 paddock on Saturday evening. Subject to a medical on Sunday morning to be cleared to race, Ericsson has duly been passed as fit and will thus start the British Grand Prix from the back of the grid in his repaired Sauber C35. Medical check ✅ car check ✅ = let's go racing!! Huge thanks to my @SauberF1Team guys for building me a new car #ME9 pic.twitter.com/uFwBoeJuJs
