Lewis Hamilton: 'My lead was never under threat from those behind'

Lewis Hamilton says he had the British Grand Prix under control and was never worried about the threat posed by team-mate Nico Rosberg and Red Bull's Max Verstappen behind. Hamilton took a lights to flag victory, only conceding the lead briefly during his first stop, finishing seven seconds ahead of Rosberg. The Briton insists he had plenty of pace in hand should he need it, but never felt his lead was under threat during the race. 'We knew they'd [Red Bull] be fast. In practice we don't know what fuel loads they were on and if everyone is showing their hand, but definitely today, I was never under threat from either of the guys behind, pace wise,' he told...
