Alonso says McLaren's race nothing to be proud of

Fernando Alonso says McLaren cannot be very proud of its British Grand Prix performance after failing to score in the Silverstone race. The Spaniard, who had started from ninth, finished down in 13th position after a dramatic spin in the race cost the Spaniard time while fighting for the points. Teammate Jenson Button wound up 12th. Alonso admitted McLaren simply did not have the pace to achieve more. "We are P12 and P13, so I don't think we should be very proud of today's race," said Alonso. "It is the way it is.
