Daniil Kvyat: “My qualifying was unfortunately compromised”

Daniil Kvyat was left disappointed and frustrated after qualifying for the British Grand Prix after feeling his last flying lap was heavily compromised by Kevin Magnussen that left him unable to improve on fifteenth on the grid. The Scuderia Toro Rosso driver was on course to improve his time only to find the slower moving Renault Sport F1 driver in front of him for the final part of the lap at Silverstone, with the delay costing the Russian the opportunity to move up the grid. Kvyat does not know where he might have been had he been unhindered on his lap, but with team-mate Carlos Sainz Jr making it through into Q3 and set to start seventh, the Russian feels he is well out of position...
