Hamilton elated with 'cautious' pole position

Mercedes AMG Petronas World Champion Lewis Hamilton admitted he took a cautious approach to his final Q3 effort after his initial pole position lap was deleted due to exceeding track limits at the British Grand Prix. Hamilton had set provisional pole but stewards deemed he ran wide at Copse and chalked off his time, leaving Nico Rosberg on top spot. Hamilton responded by setting a lap faster than his initial best as he netted pole position at Silverstone for the fourth time in his Formula 1 career.
