Hamilton on Pole despite track limits scare – Qualifying Report

British Grand Prix – Lewis Hamilton secured pole position for his home race in front of team-mate and championship leader Nico Rosberg, despite having a time deleted in Q3. Following the early morning showers, the third free practice session had helped to dry out the track completely for qualifying, although any concerns of a ‘green' circuit didn't bother the Mercedes drivers, who set their best time's of the weekend straight away. Both registered 1:30.7's but Rosberg narrowly took Q1 honours.
