Hamilton & Rosberg barely separated in red flag affected session – FP3 Report
British Grand Prix – The two Mercedes drivers Lewis Hamilton & Nico Rosberg finished just 0.063 seconds apart in final practice ahead of the Silverstone race, in a session marred by a heavy crash for Sauber's Marcus Ericsson. The one hour of final practice, so important to many of the drivers in terms of their last opportunity for fine tuning their cars ahead of qualifying, got underway shortly after a heavy shower had hit the Silverstone circuit. Short and sweet, the downpour meant the first twenty minutes of the session went without a time being put on the timesheets as the drivers evaluated the conditions.
