Sauber test new rear wing in FP1

British Grand Prix – Sauber had the chance to test out a new development wing on their C35 during first practice on Friday. The beleaguered Swiss team, who have been fighting off financial problems all season, appear to have recently solved some of those issues. The team have already confirmed they will not take part in the in-season test at Silverstone next week, but took the opportunity of Friday practice to trial a new rear wing on their car. Fitted out on Marcus Ericsson's car, the Swedish driver put in 19 laps in the morning, producing a best time of 1:36.003.
