Lewis Hamilton: “It's been a great first day”

Lewis Hamilton ended both free practice sessions on Friday at Silverstone on top, and felt it was a fantastic day at the home of British Motorsport and the birthplace of Formula 1. The Briton beat Mercedes AMG PETRONAS team-mate Nico Rosberg by just 0.033 seconds in opening practice, and with the German sidelined for second practice, was 0.391 seconds clear of Red Bull Racing’s Daniel Ricciardo.
