Red Bull lead charge to catch Mercedes in Friday practice

British Grand Prix – Red Bull wrapped up the opening day of practice as nearest challengers to Mercedes, with Daniel Ricciardo P2 & Max Verstappen P3. Ricciardo put in 60 laps over the course of Friday's running, clocking a fastest time of 1:32.051 in the afternoon to finish P2 behind pace-setter Lewis Hamilton. While happy with his opening day's work, he expressed doubt that Red Bull will be quite as competitive on single lap pace on Saturday:  “Generally today was really good.
