Hamilton encouraged by long run pace
– Lewis Hamilton reckons Mercedes needs to find additional one-lap pace but is encouraged by its long-run form, after he topped both Friday practice sessions for the British Grand Prix.Hamilton edged out team-mate Nico Rosberg by just 0.033s during the first session, before finishing 0.391s clear of Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo in the afternoon, as Rosberg was unable to complete a single lap.Hamilton, chasing a fourth home win and third in succession, revelled in a positive first day at Silverstone."It's been a great first day," said Hamilton, who went quicker than his 2015 pole lap."[We made] lots of positive steps forward with the balance of the car."We've still...
