Hamilton fastest in British GP FP1, Ferrari debuts Halo 2 Lewis Hamilton set fastest lap-time ahead of Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg in the first practice for the British Grand Prix, as Ferrari debuts Halo 2 on track for the first time in Silverstone. A best time of 1:31.654 was enough to give Hamilton P1 come the end of the running, edging out Rosberg by just 0.033 seconds. Mercedes duo clearly dominated through the incident-free first practice, running over two seconds ahead of nearest rivals.
