Silverstone FP1: Business as usual for Hamilton and Rosberg

Local Lewis Hamilton topped the first free practice session of the the British Grand Prix weekend, pipping his Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg to the top of the timing screens by the smallest of margins. Hamilton's best lap time of 1:31.654 was a mere 0.033 of a second up on Rosberg, with fellow Mercedes powered Force India’s Nico Hulkenberg next best albeit eight-tenths off Hamilton’s top time. Sebastian Vettel was fourth fastest for Ferrari, ahead of Daniel Ricciardo in fifth for Red Bull, Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen sixth and Red Bull's Max Verstappen seventh.
