Ferrari debuts Halo 2 in practice at Silverstone

Ferrari gave the Halo 2 its first public track run on Friday morning at the British Grand Prix as work continues on refining the concept. After extraction tests were completed in Austria last weekend, a planned run in first free practice had to be abandoned because of problems on the car – and the threat of bad weather. However, Sebastian Vettel was able to complete an installation lap at Silverstone with the tweaked head protection design at the start of first free practice. The Halo 2 is a lighter and reprofiled version of the original Halo that appeared at pre-season testing at Barcelona.
