Kevin Magnussen: “The five second penalty was fair”
Kevin Magnussen felt the penalty handed out to him by the stewards at the Red Bull Ring was fair after admitting fault of moving more times that are allowed to defend his position from Pascal Wehrlein. The Danish driver was fighting the German for position but weaved down the track between turns one and two to hold off the challenge of the Manor Racing driver, leaving the Renault Sport F1 driver with a five second time penalty, which he took at his final pit stop. Magnussen finished the Austrian Grand Prix down in fourteenth position, well outside the points, even if he felt his RS16 was working well around the Red Bull Ring track. “The car felt good today and we made a reasonable first...
