Wolff furious after 'brainless' Mercedes crash

Toto Wolff has expressed his frustration after the two Mercedes drivers collided on the final lap, which gave Hamilton the upper hand, but crucially pushed Rosberg from first place down to fourth. Mercedes have confirmed Rosberg had a brake-by-wire failure on the final lap, which substantially contributed to the clash, however Wolff believes the collision could still have been avoided by Nico Rosberg. The German driver is now facing an official FIA investigation. 'We couldn't tell the drivers so Nico had a brake by wire failure onto the last straight and defended very hard, then seeing both cars nearly colliding is upsetting.' Wolff said.
