Daniil Kvyat set to the start from the pit-lane in Austria

Daniil Kvyat will start the 71-lap Austrian Grand Prix from the pit-lane, after requiring a new gearbox and chassis following his heavy incident during qualifying. The Russian racer suffered a rear suspension failure on the exit of Turn 8 after running wide and onto the notorious kerbs which line several parts of the resurfaced Red Bull Ring. The subsequent failure sent Kvyat spearing into the inside barrier dividing the pit entry on the apex of Turn 9, destroying his Toro Rosso in the process. Following extensive work on the Ferrari-powered Toro Rosso, Kvyat’s mechanics were forced to break the overnight curfew in a bid to complete the repair job in preparation for the race. Kvyat...
