Lewis Hamilton takes Austria pole from Nico Hulkenberg and Jenson Button

Lewis Hamilton will start the 2016 Austrian Grand Prix from pole position after beating Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg by more than half a second in a damp final session. The Briton posted a 1m07.922s as he made a late switch from intermediate tyres to slicks as the track dried in the closing stages following a short rain shower during Q2. Rosberg, although second, will drop five places following his final practice crash which forced the team to change his gearbox. He will therefore start seventh.
