Kvyat calls for rethink over kerb design

Daniil Kvyat has called for a rethink over the kerb designs at the Red Bull Ring in the wake of the suspension failure that pitched him in to a high-speed crash in qualifying. The Toro Rosso became the fourth driver to suffer a suspension failure so far over the Austrian Grand Prix weekend when his right rear failed on his final lap in Q1. He was pitched into a spin, swiping the tyre barrier at the end of the pitlane entry and ending up hitting the wall at the outside of the final corner. Speaking to Sky after the incident, Kvyat said that the run of failures shows that something has gone amiss with the kerb design.
