Rosberg heads rain-affected second practice session
Nico Rosberg and Mercedes maintained the momentum during the second practice session, however running was cut short thanks to a sudden downpour just 15 minutes into the session. The Mercedes drivers were separated by 0.019s after Lewis Hamilton made a late final run on the ultra-soft tyres once the track had dried sufficiently, and he was also inside the 1 minute seven second mark. Despite his gearbox penalty, Vettel appeared as the ‘best of the rest' runner in third place for Ferrari, being six tenths off the pace, however his lap-time was set before the downpour had arrived.
