Ericsson, Manors reprimanded for practice incidents

Sauber F1 Team Sauber’s Marcus Ericsson and both Manor drivers have been reprimanded following incidents in the first practice session for the Austrian Grand Prix. Ericsson was deemed to have crossed the white line while entering the pits though claimed he was affected by the turbulent air from Daniel Ricciardo’s Red Bull. A representative from Red Bull confirmed that this was likely but stewards concluded that Ericsson should have been aware of Ricciardo’s presence. Pascal Wehrlein was sanctioned after he did not stay above the minimum time during the Virtual Safety Car period.
