Nico Rosberg goes quickest from Lewis Hamilton in opening Austria practice

Nico Rosberg was the fastest man during opening practice for the Austrian Grand Prix, beating team-mate Lewis Hamilton by more than three-tenths to secure the top spot. The Mercedes driver beat last year's pole position time by more than a second as he recorded a 1m07.373s, the softer tyres and new track surface contributing to the tumbling times. Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel and team-mate Kimi Raikkonen were third and fourth quickest, the pair split by exactly 0.200 seconds as they emerged the second quickest team ahead of Daniel Ricciardo's Red Bull.
