Drivers shun hard tyre in British Grand Prix tyre selections

Pirelli has announced tyre selections for the upcoming British Grand Prix next weekend, with the majority of drivers shunning the hard compound tyre in favour of the medium and particularly the soft. Of the top teams, Ferrari have gone the most extreme with eight sets of the soft, three of the medium and two of the hard. Mercedes, Williams and Red Bull have opted for seven sets of the soft, with the latter two taking five of the medium and Red Bull just four.
