Palmer confident he will stay with Renault for 2017

Jolyon Palmer is confident that he will retain his Renault seat for next year, despite rumours that he could lose his drive at the end of the season. “I’m sure if I do a good job this year then I’ll be there,” he said, “I’ve got a great opportunity. I’m getting more dialled in, more up to speed with the car, especially over the last few races. I’m looking forward to a bit of European racing now and to hopefully improve.” The former GP2 champion joined Renault on their return to the sport as a manufacturer team alongside Kevin Magnussen.
