Raikkonen slams "stupid" pitlane entry penalty

Kimi Raikkonen slammed his European Grand Prix penalty as "stupid", the Finn also hitting out at race direction for his issues with blue flags. Raikkonen was handed a five-second time penalty for running over the while lines on pitlane entry while towing the Red Bull of Daniel Ricciardo, which was about to pit, down the straight. The Ferrari driver went on to finish in fourth place after being overtaken by Force India's Sergio Perez on the final lap. Raikkonen said that, while he understood the rule, he felt it was pointless as he had not gained an advantage by running over the line.
