Pirelli aim for post-Hockenheim 2017 tyre test
Pirelli have confirmed that they are aiming to test 2017-specification tyres in August, shortly after the German Grand Prix in Hockenheim. Following the official confirmation that Pirelli will continue as Formula One's official tyre supplier until the 2019 season, Pirelli have confirmed that they will aim to test their 2017-specification tyres after the German Grand Prix. For 2017, Pirelli will be supplying wider tyres aimed at increasing car cornering speeds and improving the spectacle of the sport. The tyres will be increased in width by 25 percent; the fronts will widen from 245 to 305mm and the rears will widen from 325 to 405mm. The new tyres will undergo testing throughout the...
