Pirelli finally signs off on new 2019 Formula 1 supply deal

Pirelli has confirmed it has signed off on a deal to continue as Formula 1's sole tyre supplier until the 2019 season. Whilst a deal has been on the table since last season, Pirelli had yet to sign off on it due to an ongoing disagreement over testing. With that having been resolved last month, Pirelli has now committed to the sport for another three years. As part of the contract, Pirelli will supply F1 with wider tyres in 2017, as part of an overhaul of the technical regulations. It has been allowed a number of test days to ready itself for the introduction of wider tyres and higher downforce cars, which includes the use of 2012, 2013 and 2014-spec cars using current dimension...
