Hamilton top in inaugural Baku outing as Ricciardo crashes

European GP: Mercedes driver, Lewis Hamilton topped the first ever F1 Azerbaijan outing in Baku, with the British driver setting a 1.46.435, closely followed by team-mate Nico Rosberg.  Plenty of crashes were predicted at the narrow sections of Baku, and Daniel Ricciardo was first to crash out. The Australian lost the rear of his RB12 at the exit of Turn 15; ending his session, and bringing out a red flag. More wall contact action was seen as the session restarted, with on-form Carlos Sainz having a light clip with the barriers, however it wasn't anywhere near Ricciardo's contact – with potential damage to the Toro Rosso driver's front-wing.
