Rio Haryanto: “I hope we can carry the positives into Baku”

Rio Haryanto bemoaned the blue flags at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve that denied the Manor Racing driver the opportunity to challenge Felipe Nasr after a slow pit stop put him behind the Sauber driver. Formula 1’s first Indonesian racer had expected to race with the other Sauber of Marcus Ericsson but the slow pit stop put paid to that idea, and then Haryanto lost time as he was forced to allow faster drivers to lap him, meaning he was unable to get back on terms with Nasr. Haryanto ultimately finished nineteenth, last of the classified runners, and is looking to take the positive aspects of the Canadian Grand Prix weekend into next weekend’s European Grand Prix in Baku.
