Hamilton revels in fifth Canadian triumph
Red Bull/Getty Images Lewis Hamilton revelled in victory as he triumphed at the Canadian Grand Prix for the fifth time in his Formula 1 career. Hamilton started from pole position but lost out to Sebastian Vettel off the line and escaped unharmed after making light contact with Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg at Turn 1. Hamilton stopped just once across the course of the 70-lap race while Vettel stopped twice, with Mercedes' strategy enabling the Briton to secure victory at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
