Sainz Jr. gets five-place grid penalty

– Carlos Sainz Jr. has been hit with a five-place penalty for the Canadian Grand Prix, with Toro Rosso forced to change the gearbox in his car after he crashed out of qualifying.Sainz Jr. clipped the infamous 'Wall of Champions' in the early stages of the Q2 phase, causing significant damage to the right-hand side of his STR11 and bringing out the red flags.Sainz Jr. was originally set to start Sunday afternoon's race from 15th, but will now drop five positions to 20th, ahead of only Marcus Ericsson, who was penalised post-Monaco.Renault's Kevin Magnussen will start from the pits after his practice shunt.
