Rosberg upbeat despite missing pole

Mercedes AMG Petronas Nico Rosberg remains confident that he can fight for victory at the Canadian Grand Prix despite missing out on pole position to Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton. Rosberg trailed Hamilton by 0.062s after the first set of runs in Q3 before he locked up into Turn 1 on his second effort, scuppering his lap in the process. Rosberg is nonetheless sure that he is in the mix for overall honours at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. "Even if I just missed out on pole, the front row is still a good position to start the race tomorrow," he said.
