Sainz says Wall of Champions crash "a miscalculation"

Carlos Sainz says his crash during the second segment of qualifying for the Canadian Grand Prix was down to a "miscalculation". The Toro Rosso driver caused Q2 to the red-flagged early on after he hit the Wall of Champions, first with the rear, and then with the front of his car. Sainz said he had "closed his eyes and went for it", having been disappointed the his car was not as strong as it had been in practice. "Obviously we were very strong in FP3 and immediately when I started putting laps in Q1 I saw we were a bit far off," said Sainz.
