Button rues lack of tow that cost him Q3 spot

Jenson Button believes he should have made the top 10 shootout in Canadian Grand Prix qualifying, but thinks the slipstream he gave teammate Fernando Alonso cost him. Button will start 12th in Montreal, but believed his McLaren-Honda is now a top-10 contender. “I didn’t get a tow down the back straight,” said Button. “Fernando did – he got a tow off me. Up until the last sector it was looking pretty good for P10, but then I lost out. “We start on new tyres tomorrow, make the best of it. And if it’s wet, we should be alright.
